  America 

Enterprises file 337 investigation applications for electronic devices with wireless communication functions

On September 27, 2021, Bell  Northern Research,  LLC filed a 337 investigation application with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), alleging that certain wireless companies that export to, import from, or sell in the U.S. Electronic devices with communication functions and their components (Certain  Electronic Devices Having Wireless Communication Capabilities and Components Thereof) violated the company’s patent rights and requested ITC to issue a limited exclusion order and a prohibition order. Twelve companies from the United States, Canada, and China were the respondent.




  European Union

Issued the final ruling of the anti-dumping investigation against China's aluminum plate and foil

On October 11, the European Commission issued an announcement on the final ruling of the anti-dumping investigation against aluminum flat-rolled products in China, and decided to impose an anti-dumping duty of 14.3-24.6% on the products involved in the case in China. The implementation period is 5 years.

The European Commission also issued a supplementary announcement stating that, taking into account the supply and demand of the EU market, it will suspend the implementation of the anti-dumping measures for a maximum of 9 months.   U.K

Initiated a transitional review of anti-dumping measures against aluminum alloy wheels originating in China

On October 7, 2021, the Department of International Trade of the United Kingdom issued an announcement to conduct a transitional review of anti-dumping measures against aluminum alloy wheels (certain aluminum road wheels) originating in China and to determine whether the above-mentioned measures originating from the EU will continue in the United Kingdom Implementation and whether to adjust the tax rate level.

The British customs codes of the products involved are: 8708701015, 8708701050, 8708705015, 8708705050.
The dumping investigation period is from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
The damage investigation period is from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2021.

  European Commission

Initiated anti-dumping investigations against electroplated chrome steel products in China and Brazil

On September 24, 2021, the European Commission issued an announcement, deciding to initiate an anti-dumping investigation against electrolytic chromium coated steel products originating in China and Brazil.

The products under investigation are oxide plates coated with chromium and oxides, with customs numbers 72105000 and 7212520.
The investigation period for dumping of the case is from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
The damage investigation period is from January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2021.

Relevant export enterprises shall provide sampling information according to the requirements of the announcement within 7 days from the date of publication of the announcement, and all interested parties can register to respond to the lawsuit within 15 days from the date of publication of the announcement.




  Argentina

Anti-dumping sunset review investigation into China’s radial ball bearings initiated

On October 1, 2021, the Argentine Ministry of Production and Development issued Announcement No. 616 of 2021. At the request of the Argentine company SKF ARGENTINA SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA, the radial ball bearing (outer diameter between 30mm-120mm, RST type Except) initiate an anti-dumping sunset review investigation.

The Mercosur City Tax Code of the product involved is 8482.10.10. During the investigation of the case, the current anti-dumping measures continued to be effective.

The deadline for producers and exporters (see Annex 1 for the list of known companies) to submit the questionnaire (see Annex 2) is November 11, and the deadline for interested parties to submit evidence related to the case is December 10, 2021. Relevant materials and answer sheets should be translated into Spanish by a registered translator of the Afghan country, authenticated by the Afghan embassy in China, and submitted to the National Foreign Trade Commission of Argentina.

  Brazil

The preliminary ruling in the anti-dumping case against China's polyester fiber yarn is not taxed

Recently, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Secretariat issued Announcement No. 64, making a preliminary ruling on the anti-dumping case of polyester fiber yarns originating in China, and determined that there is dumping and the dumping has caused damage to the industry, but temporary measures will not be taken for the time being. The Mercosur Customs codes of the involved products are 54023310, 54023320, and 54023390.

  South Africa

Ruling on the case of safeguard measures for imported angle profile products decided to terminate the investigation

On September 17, 2021, the South African International Trade Management Commission (on behalf of the Southern African Customs Union-SACU, member states of South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland and Namibia) issued an announcement to make a final ruling on the case of safeguard measures for angle profile products.

The final ruling report ruled that although the local angle profile industry was severely damaged, there was no causal relationship between the damage and the import. Therefore, it was decided to terminate the investigation.

The South African tariff numbers of the products involved are: 7216.31, 7216.32, 7216.33, 7216.40, 7216.50, and 7228.70.
