The freight rate from Shanghai to Europe has increased for 10 consecutive weeks!

According to Maritime.com, the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has confirmed that its routes from Asia to West Africa, South Africa, the Indian Ocean, East Africa and the Red Sea will be suspended for several voyages in the next few weeks.

In order to cope with the current challenging market situation (this situation is affecting port activities, causing congestion and delays in the entire supply chain). This Swiss-based shipping company implements the following blank routes.

In addition, according to the data summarized by the easy sailing schedule as of June 17th, a total of 69 routes from Asia to North America/Europe will be suspended from June to July 2021 (that is, the first port will depart from the 23rd to the 31st week for 9 weeks) Voyage. Among them: 32 voyages to the West of the United States, 16 voyages to the East of the United States, 14 voyages to Northern Europe, and 7 voyages to the Mediterranean.

From the perspective of the alliance, the THE Alliance has suspended 23 voyages, the Ocean Alliance has suspended 13 voyages, the 2M Alliance has suspended 20 voyages, and other independent routes have suspended 13 voyages.

Shenzhen suspended and jumped to 132 voyages at most. Because of the epidemic situation in Yantian Port, most of the port jumps occurred in Yantian. Shanghai's number of suspended flights and Shenzhen tied for first.

From the port point of view: except for Nansha, all ports departing from Asia have reduced call voyages. Specifically: Shanghai (-39), Ningbo (-36), Qingdao (-22), Xiamen (-10), Shenzhen (-138), Hong Kong (-15), Taiwan (-2), Southeast Asia (-70) ), South Korea (-36). Nansha Port added 22 calls.

From the perspective of the route area: the actual call at the port of departure from Asia to the US West route decreased by 163 times, the US East decreased by 98 times, the Northern Europe decreased by 98 times, and the Mediterranean Sea decreased by 50 times.

From the perspective of the alliance: the 2M alliance has reduced the most calls, 141 times, and the call rate is 86%; the ocean alliance has the second largest reduction in the number of calls, 126 times, but the number of planned call ports arranged by the ocean alliance itself is higher than that THE Alliance and the 2M Alliance, so the call rate is still 91%; THE Alliance has reduced the number of calls by a total of 124 times, and the call rate is 88%.
