Major Logistics Companies Suspend Operations In Russia

Recently, a number of logistics companies and shipping companies around the world said that in view of the current tension in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, in order to ensure the safety of relevant personnel, they will suspend delivery services to Russia and Ukraine. 

  SEKO

We have "stopped all shipments in and out of Russia"

  COSCO

Our company's AEM3 route will jump to Odessa port in Ukraine immediately, and stop all Ukrainian import and export cargo pickup;
Ukrainian cargo that is already in transit will be arranged to be re-unloaded at a suitable location.


  MSC

From February 24, 2022, new cargo bookings to and from Ukraine have stopped;
The container ship MSC JESSENIA R was asked to deviate during the voyage of XA207A and the ship will stop calling at Odessa;
MSC ships will not be calling at Ukrainian ports for the time being and we are implementing various other operational changes to other ships in the region to take advantage of our extensive Black Sea port network. In this case, we will declare the end of the voyage at the last port before Ukraine;
From March 1, all cargo bookings to and from Russia have been suspended, including all routes including the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea and the Russian Far East.




  MAERSK

- Ukraine: Not calling at any Ukrainian port until further notice and will stop accepting orders in and out of Ukraine, air and rail products are recommended as an alternative service, shipments to Ukraine are currently scheduled in Port Said (Egypt) and Korfi Sri Lanka (Turkey) unloading;
- Russia: Due to the uncertainty of sanctions (referring to the interception of some Russian goods), all containers destined for Russia are stopped at the port of first loading or transit. Temporary suspension of all new reefer bookings (refrigerated and frozen) to/from St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad. Currently, the doors of Novorossiysk and Far East Russia remain open;
Imposing Emergency Risk Surcharge (ERS) on all cargo handled in Novorossiysk, Russia: USD 1,100 per FFE;
At the same time, Maersk provides the following solutions:

1. Free change of destination service, subject to reloading and transfer fees;
2. There is no cancellation fee for valid bookings to and from Russia and Ukraine;
3. Detention and demurrage calculations for Ukrainian import and export containers and Russian export containers will be temporarily suspended until March 11, 2022, in which the responsibility of D&D lies with Maersk;
4. For goods that are going to Russia and Ukraine, we are currently unable to deliver due to various restrictions, and we will not charge hub storage fees.



  CMA
Suspend all vessels calling at Ukraine until further notice, BEX and BSMAR services will skip Odessa, Ukraine, and bookings to and from Odessa have been suspended;
Cargo destined for Ukraine will be redirected to the ports of Constanta (Romania), Tripoli (Lebanon) or Piraeus (Greece);
It was announced on March 1 that all bookings to and from Russia were suspended until further notice due to safety concerns.


  HPL

- Ukraine: Bookings stopped, all shipments to Novorossiysk will be unloaded in Istanbul, Turkey;
- Russia: Suspended bookings, all shipments to Odessa will be unloaded in Constanta, Romania;
Offers free change of destination service and free cancellation of reservations.



  ZIM

Suspension of all services to the Port of Odessa (Ukraine), suspension of bookings to and from Odessa;
From February 24th to March 15th, there will be no demurrage charges for all goods currently located at the Odessa terminal;
Goods already shipped to Ukraine will be unloaded at one of the following transshipment ports: Haifa (Israel) and Yarimka (Turkey);
New bookings to and from all ports in Russia will be suspended until further notice.


  ONE

Bookings to and from Odessa, Ukraine, and Novorossiysk, Russia will be suspended, effective immediately.
While the operational feasibility is being assessed, bookings from St. Petersburg, Russia are suspended, effective immediately.
In addition to shipping companies, UPS, FedEx and DHL have also suspended shipments to Russia.
