Many parts of the Americas have been hit by wildfires, causing multiple areas to lose control of the flames.
Bolivia
On September 7th local time, the Bolivian government announced that the country has entered a state of emergency due to forest fires, in order to accelerate internal coordination and international support to extinguish the fires.
So far, large-scale forest fires in Bolivia have destroyed 3.8 million hectares of forests and pastures.
The Bolivian Ministry of Defense stated that there are currently 72 active fire points in the country, with 64 concentrated in the eastern region of Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz Province is the most populous province in Bolivia and also the most economically developed region in Bolivia.
As early as September 4th local time, Bolivia's state-owned airline announced that thick smoke from forest fires and agricultural fires had affected 17 airports of varying sizes in the Amazon and eastern regions of the country.
Bolivia's state-owned airline stated that according to aviation regulations, the min visibility for safe takeoff and landing of aircraft is 1600 meters. However, thick smoke caused a sharp drop in visibility to 1000 meters, far below the min requirement, and 17 airports in the above areas were forced to suspend operations.
According to the weather forecast, visibility is expected to temporarily improve in the next two days, but due to changes in wind direction, the smoke situation may worsen again in the future.
Brazil
According to the CCTV news client, on September 3rd local time, the latest meteorological report released by the Brazilian National Institute of Meteorology showed that due to relative humidity below 12%, the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, S ã o Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goias, and the Federal District of Brazil have entered a red emergency state, while several areas with relative humidity below 30% have entered an orange or yellow emergency state.
The report also shows that winter temperatures in some cities in Brazil are currently close to 40 degrees Celsius.

According to data released by the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research on September 2nd, Brazil has recorded 131000 fires from January 1st to September 1st this year, almost twice the number recorded during the same period last year.
It is reported that the states of Mato Grosso, Para, Amazonas, and Mato Grosso do Sul are the main areas where fires have occurred.
Argentina
On September 6th local time, the Argentine health and safety department released a report stating that the forest fire that broke out in the central province of Cordoba this week has burned over 13000 hectares, and four firefighters were injured during the firefighting operation.
The forest fire started on the 2nd of this month. At present, the fire has not been effectively controlled and has spread to densely populated areas, posing a threat to the safety of some local communities. One residential area is only 50 meters away from the site of the fire, and 8 households in the area have been evacuated.
It is reported that the Argentine Ministry of Environment dispatched 2 firefighting aircraft, 2 helicopters, and over 300 firefighters to cooperate in extinguishing the fire. However, due to unfavorable weather conditions, the disaster is still worsening.
The National Meteorological Agency of Argentina has announced that 20 provinces and the Federal Capital Region are at risk of fire due to the recent prolonged high temperatures and low rainfall.
Ecuador
On August 30th local time, the Ecuadorian government announced that due to the ongoing spread of the Kilanga forest fire in the province of Loja, Peru will dispatch international rescue forces and deploy small planes and helicopters to assist in extinguishing the fire in Ecuador.
The National Risk Management Secretariat of Ecuador stated that the Kilanga Forest Fire has burned an area of 4223 hectares, and vegetation, pine forests, and grasslands in the affected area have all been destroyed. The fire also caused damage to multiple houses and affected dozens of households.
California, USA
The California Forestry and Fire Department reported on the morning of the 8th that the "Ryan" wildfire is rapidly spreading in the southern part of the state, with a burned area of 70.65 square kilometers.
The report states that the "Ryan" wildfire, which began on the 5th, rapidly spread and is under zero control. A total of 35405 buildings are under threat, and thousands of residents have received evacuation orders. Currently, over 600 firefighters are participating in firefighting with extensive equipment support.
